Child Safety Standards

Aviatter (“Aviatter”, “we”, “us”), the aircraft-spotting application operated by Alan Richert, is committed to the safety of children. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) anywhere on our Services. This page sets out our standards, in line with Google Play’s Child Safety Standards policy and applicable law.

Our commitment

  • We prohibit CSAE and CSAM of any kind on Aviatter, including any content or conduct that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers a child — for example grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or the creation, solicitation, possession, or distribution of CSAM.
  • We prohibit the use of Aviatter by anyone under our minimum age (see below), and we do not knowingly permit the sexualisation of minors in any form.

Minimum age

Aviatter is intended for users aged 16 and over (or 13 and over with verifiable parental or guardian consent where local law permits). We do not knowingly allow accounts for, or the collection of personal information from, children below these thresholds.

How we prevent and detect abuse

  • Content moderation. User-submitted content passes through automated moderation and is subject to human review. Content that violates these standards is removed.
  • Reporting tools. Every piece of user content can be reported from within the app. Reports of suspected CSAE or CSAM are prioritised.
  • Action on CSAM. When we obtain actual knowledge of CSAM on our Services, we act in accordance with these standards and applicable law: we remove the content, disable the responsible account, preserve relevant information as required, and report to the appropriate authorities and child-safety organisations.
  • Cooperation. We cooperate with law enforcement and recognised child-safety bodies in the investigation of CSAE and CSAM.

  • In the app: use the report control available on any sighting, photo, profile, or other user content.
